Origins of the Guardians
Long before the sleigh could fly, two mysterious twins appeared at Santa’s doorstep. Gizmo, with the power to build, and Fidget, with the gift to see light in others, became the first Guardians. Together, they sparked the magic that would power Christmas for generations.

Not all elves chose the light. From those who fell away came mischief and shadows. When their ranks discovered a way to fuel their own power through misbehavior, the balance of Christmas spirit was threatened for the first time.
